Making a random search in google, I found this
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/medievaltotalwar/download.html?sid=6093031
So, has anyone tried it, and if so, is it any good?
That aside, seeing it around gave me the idea that such a mod would be feasible (and maybe better than RTW): Remove religions and turn them into "cultures" instead, making them GrecoRoman, Eastern, Celtic, and Barbarian-lump group to everything else-, and dividing the game into... four periods, or so, following more or less the developments of Roman politics: Republic(punic wars)-leader, Consul, electorate as in vanilla HRE-, Dictatorship (regular dictatorship, Roman civil wars era), Principate(peak of the Roman Empire), and Tetrarchy (Political-economical decline). Factions: Rome, Carthage, Egypt, Parthia...
Well, it COULD be done... (not sure if this fits this forum, but hey, maybe it gives someone ideas)
