In my current Russian campaign, the Mongolians have taken everything from Bagdhad to Adana and south to the Cairo area. Feeling that they were sufficiently spread out, I lead a three pronged attack against the Turks and the Mongols, sending a full stack sea invasion to Nicaea, Antioch, and invading by land by taking a stack from Sarkel south. Within a few turns I had control of all of Asia Minor and had taken Antioch, Adana, Edessa, and Aleppo from the Mongols.

Now, with that out of the way, I have just survived the plague and got the Timurid warning. I then thought to myself "Self, I wonder what it would have been like to watch the Timurids invade and try to take on the Golden Horde?"

Has anyone seen the Timurids invade and attack the Mongols? I think it would be neat to watch the carnage, especially if the Horde did it's whole "I'm not going to take any thing and sit here" style of invasion. Imagine the Timurids and Mongols in full horde mode ending up in the same province!

Since the Mongols still have Bagdhad and Mosul, I hope the Timurids end up there so I can watch some fireworks!

I saw it happen in my Previous campaign with the Moors.

I had only taken out 3 stacks of the Mongols with my one raiding army in those quarters; so they were pretty much intact when the Timurids arrived.
They were a bit too spread out though; and got easily butchered and their lands taken.

I gave them the entire English Island since I felt sorry for the poor saps.

After I finished my Turkish campaign, I decided to do end turns and watch. The Mongols have control of Russia and attacked me at Yerevan. The Timurids spawned there. They fought quite a few battles. The Mongols were spamming their 0 upkeep units while the Timurids keep regenerating. They both had a scary number of stacks.
