How to open a dds with Gimp ?

Hi,

I'm trying to open dds files with Gimp (version 2.2.1.4) but can't understand how it works.
I've installed this plug-in (http://registry.gimp.org/plugin?id=4816) but I always ends up with this error message :

Which download did you use I just tried the one under "windows binaries" that one has a dds.exe and a couple of dll's (as distinct from the other downloads which seem to give you a lot of stuff that needs compiling).

Putting the dds.exe and the two .dll's in the folder
E:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins
made mine work. (Obviously change the beginning of the file path to where-ever you installed your copy of GIMP.

My GIMP is version 2.2.1.3 and I'm on windows XP in case that makes any difference.
