Hello, forum

I´m currently playing EB v 0.81a for the first time and I´m going to capture/conquer the first enemy settlements.
Which buildings I´m oliged to destroy necessarily before I´m going to build up my government level and my own administration?

Thank you in advance for yours answers-
Marcel

Just destroy the previous governments. You don't have to destroy anything else (though some of the MICs ("barracks")) won't do you any good depending upon the faction and province. But if you just stick to the rule of "always destroy other governments" you will be fine.

Thank you for your quick reply :laugh4:
I´m playing with Carthago and I´ve just captured Messana from the Rebels. But there is no Government Building to be destroyed !?!
After the "Regional Pacification" I started to build Government Type 2. Is this ok?
And what´s the matter with the "conscription center of the army" (western greeks" in Messana? Is there no necessity to destroy this building? And what´s the matter with temples or other religious buildings? Can I leave them untouched without being in danger of unrest from the subdued citizens?

Rebels don't start with governments, so no worries there. (They sometimes build them later on, though.) That "conscription center of the army" is the MIC (barracks) that the rebels used in that town. It will serve no purpose to you (in this particular town), so you can tear it down for the money if you'd like.

Thank you :-)
And what´s with the MICS and religious buildings in other towns?
Is there a "rule of thumb" ?!

The MICs vary from faction to faction (though some factions share the same ones (Aedui&Arverni - Seleucia&Ptoleamai - Sweboz&Getai - etc)). You can choose leave them all when you take a settlement, destroy them that aren't useful (also, if you lose the settlement the enemies have to start their military over from scratch), or destroy them all even if you can use them to represent the difficultly of a new town (only if you choose something like that for role-play).

All enemy temples will upgrade to a type of temple you have. You can tear them down and build your own temples from scratch or upgrade their temple and just deal with what god it happens to be dedicated to now. I will usually leave advanced temples intact and then choose on a case to case method for all lower temples (if I like the diety they upgrade to).
