View Full Version : Recruting Voinu as Sauromatae
How can I recruit them? They don't show up using pastoralism (settled community buildings), nomadism(This is only for HA mostly, I know) or allied government(for regionals) in the 2 provinces shown in Arkatreides' unit cards.
They are supposed to be factionals for the Sauromatae, so I guess pastoralism would be the way to go but they don't show up.

Hate to disapoint you, but saruo can't recruit voinu. (I looked in the edb).
Thanks for looking, but it's a bug I think as the Voinu are listed among Sauro troops in the unit cards and the website and that's why I made the topic.

I double checked and Voinu SHOULD be recruitable as a MIC tier 2 regional unit in the listed provinces. You will need a regional MIC for this, so go for allied government.
But, if I interpret the files correctly, they won't be available if you have a large settlement in that area.

Sorry, yes your right Arkatreides, although I don't see where you get the maximum settlement level from though. However, as far as I can see, the sakae reforms need to have occured and you need the reform building present for you to be able to build a mic that lets you recruit voinu, which seems a litle strange.
The problem is that when I conquered these 2 provinces the allied government option was not available, I just loaded a savegame the moment I took Gordu-Neuriji from the Sweboz in 185BC it was City-sized. I always thought that allied gov shows up when you take at least a large town from a another faction.
I took Gelonus very early in my game. The only options that show up after destroying my governments is migration and thus pastoralism or nomadism. If there is no way to get allied government in these 2 provinces it's a bug and perhaps they should be tied to large settled community and made factional (like the Helamye archers only recruitable as factionals in 3 provinces).
Has anybody from the team seen this, I would like to know at least if it has been confirmed or proved wrong?
Nevermind, saw my mistake.
