View Full Version : Query - Is there any AP power difference between Axes and Maces?
Or is all non-siege AP pretty much the same?

The only difference is in the base attack.
AP halves the armor protection, but not all axes and maces are created equal.
For example, the mace of a Teutonic Knight has a base attack of 13. The mace of a Mamluk Archer has a base attack of 8. Clearly, the Teutonic Knight's mace is a lot better at killing things — armored or unarmored — than a Mamluke Archer's.
Gunpowder AP ignores shields.
There are also set base attacks for AP weapons:
One-Handed:
Maces: 8, 10, 13
Axes: 7, 9, 11
Hammers: 7, 9, 16
Two-handed:
Axes: 13, 15, 17, 20
Pollaxes: 16, 21
Bills: 13, 15
Western Halberds: 5, 9, 12
Eastern Halberds: 5, 7, 12
Swordstaves: 7
Voulges: 5, 7
Curious, which one does the JHI use? AP weapon of swiftness? Couldn't resist the Diablo reference. :laugh4:
