The Starcraft 2 thread has gotten me a bit nostalgic for GOOD RTS games. I have always thought that the Close Combat games were the best that were ever made, and I rank 5 at the top of the list (for multiplayer) due to the excellent strategic map level as well.

I've tried doing multiplayer campaigns with random people online before, but it's rare to get more than a couple battle in before things fall apart due to scheduling and technical problems. I tried to get my wife into the game a couple years ago, but she just didn't take to it.

Is there any Orgah who would be interested in trying to do a full scale CC5 multiplayer campaign? Vanilla, GJS mod, whatever, I'm game.

I once played a Close Combat demo a long time ago, and I really loved it. I can't get a hold of a copy though. Any suggestions as to where I can get a copy of Close Combat 5?

It would probably be pretty hard to find it in stores anymore, even bargain bins. I would say ordering off the net is your best bet.

I have it, but don't like 5.
I prefer 2 by far, better playability imo
