MODS/ADMINS: Need some feedback for a video link in signature

Is it permissible for me to have a link to the following video in my signature?:

For the record: I don't support war in general, but I do think this is a great video for any military/film enthusiast, and I'd like to share it. BHD is one of my favorite war movies, I watched it at least 5 times on the big screen and many times on DVD.

If it's not appropriate, that's ok. I would perfectly accept that.
I just want to ask to make sure if it's ok or not. It's not my intention to offend anyone.

That's fine. No rush at all. If you like you can edit the title of the post accordingly.
I posted it directed to mods & admins, it might be better to delete that part ("MODS/ADMINS:") to get more feedback from others.

BTW I should say that I usually change links/images every few days just to keep it fresh and entertaining.
The intent is not to offend so if it at all doubtfull as to what effect it might have, I would'nt use it.
That is if it's probable that it would be deemed inappropriate by some then I have no problem not to use it.

My artistic mind dictates that I must state this clip is reasonably well made. But from around half of it it has become already too long and repetitive -- longwinded. About 6 minutes are too much: it should've ceased sooner and its beauty would've been generally greater. I mean to say: cut out a chunk of about 2 or 3 minutes from in-between. And don't forget the presentation that is generally well done from start to end.

A good choice of music that befits the occasion, though -- taking in account that which has been already mentioned there above -- too repetitive and longwinded altogether.


Regarding whether it is suitable to allow it to be linked in the signature: I see no problem. It shows scenes of a movie depicting harsh infantry warfare as many dead are made and it is fairly safe to assume many who visit the Org -- or anybody who sees the movie -- has seen a war movie before or anything war-related. Sure there are people who wouldn't want to see it, but this forum is about Total War, is it not?

Regarding showing the killing of American soldiers and Somali fighters: I see no problem. Let people see it and be reminded of the fact there are and have been people out there risking their lives.

As Sinan has said it's a great video for the military or film enthusiast. I happen to be both and in my first pieces of texts herein I already mentioned how good the video roughly is.


My arguments FOR ALLOWING IT should be sufficient in explanation.

About the movie, well, it's one of the few movies I actually bought on DVD.:2thumbsup:
