Is it normal that every Eleutheroi general that I bribe dies the next turn??
Is there some kind of super Eleutheroi ghost-assassin that runs around and kills them all or what???
has this been discussed elsewhere before?

If you bribe an Eleutheroi general that was placed in a city they will die. We have given them a trait that reduces their movement by 100% and I think this causes them to die. I might be wrong though.

Think that might be it, though. I bribed 7 Eleutheroi generals in my Baktrian campaign and they were still living 10 years after i bribed them.

I think I've reased it before: I've seen this occur in a Casse campaign when I bribed one of the Belgic cities (don't remember wich one) and in a Ptolemaioi campaign when I bribed Hallikarnassos.
IIRC the governor in Hallikarnassos had a trait called "client ruler" wich I assume he got after I bribed him along with the city. It was a very long time ago so add a pinch of salt to it....

the only Eleutheroi General I found that doesn't die is the one in the Sahara town... and you can only get there with cheating so... sux

Yeah it's part of the EB script. When it happened to me I opened the Console and pressed up to see the last entry and it said "kill_character <Bribed General's name>" so apparently, we are not supposed to be bribing rebel cities AND keeping those Generals we bribe. Those sneaky EB team members pulled a fast one on us!:dizzy2:

We've talked about this before, I don't think this has anything to do with what EB is doing. If it is it is unintentional as far as I can tell, but we thought it was just a RTW thing I believe.

No. Our only use of the kill_character command in the most recent release is to eliminate information-bearing, non-combatant characters who we ourselves spawn.

Do you remember the actual name?

I've definetly had this happen too.

maybe it's in one of the mods? maybe the 1st cohort mod or AI money fix?

No, but it was the guy who lives in Bononia in N.Italy.

Then this has nothing to do with the EB background script unless your version has been modded.

When i am runing tests as Casse , i get bored sometimes...So i bribe towns in Britain and in every case ,General in town dies as soon i press end turn .

Turn after that whole army in town leaves the town and stops next to it.I don't remember names , but it's every single town in Britain and Ireland.

It wasn't. I had just downloaded it for the first time........creepy.........:skull:

@Mlp:That army-moving-outside-of-town thing is from RTW 1.5. It happens with all towns you bribe. If there is a garrison there or if you garrison it with your own units directly after the bribe(if it's empty)and hit end turn, the garrisoned troops will walk out of the town. I've seen this in MTW2 as well, hopefully CA Australia will catch this in kingdoms. But its not a big deal, you just have your troops march right back into the city next turn. Even if they're redfaced when your troops walk out it won't revolt since it takes two turns for a city to revolt in the RTW engine.(Again, it's also in MTW2)

Yeah sorry that was such a long explanation I just thought in case we had any newbies on here wondering why that was happening wouldn't go blaming EB for it. Either that, or I really need to layoff the coffee today.:dizzy2:
