Allow us to host 5v5 and 6v6 MP battles. If there is an upper limit on unit number (i.e the game engine cannot handle more than 128 units) then devide the available units per player accordingly. That is, in a 5v5 each player has 12 units, in a 6v6 battle each has 10. Colour cannot be a problem since there are 12 factions, so each player can have different colour.

They really need to do something!! It is very hard sometime to play a 3x3 . With more players in one game I think the game will be the hit on the internet!!!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hmmmm l think that this game will have a better net-code that Shogun BUT considering that the maps are bigger, more units, higher detail anything more then 4v4 would lag as hell.
Next-gen computers with either GF4, Omen and R300 cards and good CPUS and a shitload of RAM can play on LAN 5v5 or 6v6 games http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

This an add-on to your deployment post Cheetah? 6v6 would be great even with 8 units but the deployment zone would have to be shared among allies. This is something I would like to see

It is already laggy in the demo with sound on during the battle of jaffa http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif
With sound off, I'll be happy if it can even manage a 4v4 smoothly online.

I really don't get why on earth the sound gets corrupted!!!
I mean they are just .mp3 and .wav files!

Maybe they can put in the game what a player has as his internet connection! Like if he is ISDN or DSL or 56k (and what it is at the moment) That way the players with higher internet connection can play the 4x4 or higher. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

As far as l know the only sound effects that cause sound distortion are the troop sounds!!!
