View Full Version : What happens if you forget to initially start the EB script for a few turns?

Sorry to keep bringing this subject up but I've started a new campaign and I'm somewhat paranoid about the EB script launching "show me how" thing.

I basically did it at first, after I stopped playing to rest and returned to it, I played a few turns of the season clock without remembering to turn it on, after I realized that the little advisor icon was still flashing, I started it up again.

Will this have any long term or major effects on the game? or will the script be able to work around it?

Forgetting it for a little while doesn't cause huge problems. The only things that it would have done is the AI may start going into debt for those turns and any town the AI captured in that time won't have the appropriate government. Those aren't too big, but can be a big problem if they occure for many turns consecutively.

Also long term non-use can cause other problems like missed traits, triggers, counters, and markers. But those will usually fix themselves too (though not perfectly), when the script is finally activated.

So should I completely start again?

It matters how long. A couple turns doesn't hurt. Four or five is pushing it. If you go longer, I would start over.

Although, I'm paranoid about the script too. I always quicksave before I push end turn and if the advisor pops up when I click end turn, as he does when you don't have the script on, I will push ESC and reload that quicksave.

I'll guess I'll just start a new one. I also save constantly, sometimes even saving just to make sure I've saved...

Oh well, my economic trickery at the start of the game made me quite successful within a few hours of playing it so starting fresh might be fun.
