Being a three-eyed giant with lots of hair on the back, I have two eyes in the front and one in the back. By giant I mean as in giant from a faerie tale. I am able to march through cities and destroy buildings as I pass, while picking off aircraft from the air.
The army is ineffective: their pitiful attempts to hinder and seize me are futile, with their tiny bullets and rockets not doing any harm to me for I possess a magical shield around me deflecting it all and this shield cannot be disabled. It is even capable of withstanding nuclear, biological, and chemical attacks of any strength. It is only a matter of time afore the whole world shall perish before me.
Okay okay: I'm of average height and weight (but I do possess psychic powers (telepathy, remote viewing, distant physical-natural manipulation, etc.) and this is no lie, truly. I am communicating the absolute truth :saint:)

Am I winning for the tallest?
People here are quite large, in almost every foreign country I come I'm most of the time the tallest person.
Hell in England I slept in a bed that was 1.60 long and in Italy it was the small, but luckely it was a bed for two persons so I could use it diagonally.
In Rome even my girlfriend was longer than most Italian men, not to speak of the small women.

I go on stints of eating huge amounts of food. I'm currently out of a stint.
Even so, the food i usually eat is pure garbage. Never eat anything healthy or do exercise, yet i'm fit as a fiddle.
Take that, government food-nazis!
Gah I always eat healthy (unless I really really really don't have time to cook) and I sport for about an average of 3-4 hours a week easely ... and I'm fit so it does work.
Tho being an archaeology student keeps you fit as well. 4 weeks of hard work from 8-16 easely equals a year of fitnessing believe me.

I know what you are talking about... Here in Norway my 1.83m is not really that tall.
If you look at my contribution in the "nations you have visited" thread, the two places that I really felt tall was in Scotland and Malaysia.
In Scotland they said: "a'right big man, Hau ar yu?"
I am not fat even though my BMI is nearly 30 (obese); have these test never heard of muscle?
Also on the double deckers (bus) at the first level I had to stoop and my shoulders/back brushed the ceiling when walking down the isle, and there were never enough room for my knees when seated.

Running 40+ miles per week isn't exactly the best way to gain weight, and I'm probably pretty average for a distance runner anyway.

Why worry? Assuming a good portion of that is muscle, 200 lbs is spot-on for 6'2". (Although, when I was in really good shape I was about 185, so now I'm ten pounds overweight. But it doesn't show on a tall guy as much as it could.)

You amuse me, American. Having never played Rugby, you can insult it when in your country they play a PANSY-BOY alternative. Let me illustrate:

In this game, notice all the armour and protection, including a helmet which belongs in the middle east where there are bombs.
http://www.staronetickets.com/images/wc2007.jpg
Notice the complete lack of armour.
The rules of Rugby, coming from someone who has played both, are much more exciting. American football is start-stop-start-stop action, resulting in about 15% of the viewing time actually playing football. In Rugby, it doesn't matter if someone's knee touches the ground. We prefer the following attitude: "GET THE HELL UP YOU WUSS OR I'LL SHOVE YOUR FACE INTO THE DIRT AGAIN!"

BMI calculator, that will give you an idea if you're near a correct weight. Sure muscles weigh more than fat, but still this will give you a good calculation. You're only overweight because of muscles if you compete in competitions for the strongest man in the world.

Crazed RabbitExactly. The average career in American football IIRC is around just three years, maybe not even that much. If they didn't wear all that "armour," there wouldn't just be injuries, there'd be deaths. Have you seen Brian Urlacher? Without that protection, that man could kill with a single hit!

Yeah right... take a look at these guys (http://www.theworldsstrongestman.com/wsm/2006/athletes.html)and calculate their BMI's
e.g.
Dominic Filiou [CAN] (BMI: 50)
Terry Hollander [ENG] (BMI: 44.19)
Mariusz Pudzianowski [POL] (BMI: 40.12 )
Odd Haugen [NOR] (BMI: 37.58)
My BMI is apparently 29.26... granted I could loose a few kg's to smoothe the skin over my bulk, but then I would have to fend off the girls at the beach. :sweatdrop:
But as long as I can lift my own weight I'm ok.
from the BMI link:
You can use the Body Mass Index to find out if you’re a healthy weight for your height.
If you know your height and weight, you can work out which weight range you’re in, using our BMI calculator. You also need to say whether you are male or female.
These are the weight ranges, set by the World Health Organisation:
If your BMI is less than 18.4 you are underweight for your height.
If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9 you're an ideal weight for your height.
If your BMI is between 25 and 29.9 you’re over the ideal weight for your height.
If your BMI is between 30 and 39.9 you're obese.
If your BMI is over 40 you're very obese. If your BMI is over 25 you do need to think about losing weight, otherwise you’re at risk of health problems. If it’s over 30 you need to make some big changes to your lifestyle to get your weight down. NHS Direct can provide advice on how to lose weight safely, but you are also advised to make an appointment to see your GP.
Notes: This is general advice for adults only; it doesn’t apply to children.
When you work out your BMI, remember to take into account your body frame and your build - your BMI may not be accurate if you are a weight-trainer or an athlete, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Your BMI may not be accurate if you are over the age of 60. This is because your bones may begin to weigh less as you get older.
If you have a long-term health condition, speak with your GP before starting a weight-loss programme.
Speak with your GP if you have noticeably lost or gained weight recently for no known reason.
If your BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9 you're an ideal weight for your height.
If your BMI is between 25 and 29.9 you’re over the ideal weight for your height.
I vaguely remember some research a year or two back from the US, suggesting those international standards for BMI might need updating. It looked at US mortality data and found that a BMI=25 looked best from a life expectancy point of view, whereas conventionally BMI=20 has been assumed to be best.
I think that led CDC to dramatically lower their estimates of health burden of obesity in the US.
As it says, between 25-29.9 you're over the ideal weight, but still no matter, as long as you're not as fat as those junkfood eating people.

As it says, between 25-29.9 you're over the ideal weight, but still no matter, as long as you're not as fat as those junkfood eating people.
Yes, yes all good, but I still have a chicken to pluck with this BMI thing.
There are just too few parameters.
In addition to the height and weight there should be parameters for chest size, biceps, waist, max bench press, (if you are female - cup size) and how fast you can run the 100 meter and 3000 meter. :laugh4:
ok, jokes aside you get my point?
I have a sickness that helps me a tad when training, it's called Polycythemia Vera. My body generates too much blood cells and I am on a constant blood doping. This means I can work out longer as my muscles get's plenty of O2.
There are of course dangers being constantly blood doped, Heart failure and liver failure are the risks I face.
ok, jokes aside you get my point?
Yup, but it's supposed to be an easy indication which everyone can do.
If you know you can run the 100 metres in 13 seconds and this says you're just above the good weight, you know why.
If however you get 32 here, and you know that all the movement you get is moving from your bed to your car, driving to work and working behind your desk, you know you're too fat.
If you know you can run the 100 metres in 13 seconds
