View Full Version : Blown Away by EB
I want to start off saying that I've been playing rtw for a few years now. I've tried vanilla, Rome Total Realism, and few other mods.
I recently decided to try EB.
I want to say I am VERY IMPRESSED. What fantastic mod. This is more like a brand new game rather than a mod. Congrats to all the people who put such hard work in to make such a fantastic game. You have made rtw much much more of an indepth game.

Thank you, on behalf of the team.
We are trying our best to make what you like, even better!

Thanks Ice. Don't forget to tell your friends about EB too! And in response to those nice comments, and as I don't expect there's any harm in it, I'll note that today our compiler (Bonny! Yay Bonny! :2thumbsup: ) released the third big internal build since our last public release. We have smaller patches and things for those testing particular areas of the mod, but this keeps us all up to date on the big things. We're very happy! :birthday2:

I already have. I was talking about EB last night in the mIRC .org chat room. :beam:

Excellent news! I can't wait for the next release.
Yes, I agree with Ice. I thought I was done with RTW - I've played it (or rather mods of it) to death. But this forum is so lively and interesting, I got the urge to fire up EB again. I was surprised, it still feels fresh. I am not sure why - the traits and scripting, the fantastically detailed units, the tight economy, the powerful enemy armies etc they all add to the experience.

It's amazing. EB inspired me to join this forum years ago. And I am still here and STILL playing EB!
EB is a permanent fixture on my computer. and I've got M2TW!

I too just want to say how much fun i've had with EB and would like to thank the team for putting in the time and effort to making it great.
Also, what iteration of EB1 will be the last, 0.9?

I too am in love with this mod, I've found it at a time when I'm starting to look into this period's history so it's been a great little education on a few things besides reading! Thank you all for the time, blood, sweat and tears! :2thumbsup:

I believe it is going to be 1.0
Ahh... This is cute and all that, hugs for everybody.
Now for the real question Ice. How did you managed to miss EB even though you have an account created in May 2005?
I understand the limits for modding RTW, so in that sense EB is really something, something unique and really addictive. Love the music and the Imperial atmosphere when I'm getting ready for the invasion of the Iberian Peninsula.

I've always known it was here, but I never wanted to try it because I thought it was going to play like a beta.
noticed this thread, thought i should take the chance to praise this "mod". like ice said, its more a brand new game or at least an addon. its my first mod for R:TW (and i think i wont try anything different). very impressed of the depth of information given, yeah, the new skins and the historical accuracy as well, and the bigger map a.s.o. all in all amazing.
you guys dont get any money for this do you?

My turn to praise.EB is the best, and only mod,I play for RTW.I have played it more than any other game I have (I think),and have thouroughly enjoyed.I even have an AAR.This mod is probably the best thing since sliced bread (for RTW anyways). You all rock.
I play EB more than MTW2. Nothing more to say.

I understand that, I personally avoided EB on purpose until it was released for RTW v1.5. I think that RTW v1.2 don't support my monitors natural screen resolution (1280x1024). And patch 1.5 fixed many other issues also.

I agree heartily. I've been playing RTW for a while, and must have had dozens of mods. I have been searching relentlessly for a mod that can keep me interested for more than 50 years of any campaign (most become too easy). EB has given me that and so much more! Thanks for everything EB team! Balloons all round!
