Hello,
I'm working on an aar and I was wondering if anyone here knew how to get rid of the green arrow markers and banners in battles? I seem to remember it being easy in RTW, but the only "preferences" file I've seen in my MTW:2 folder is blank.:sweatdrop:

On a side note, would any of the mod players here know which files I have to delete if the voices of the factions aren't coming out right? (Suddenly half the world is using the english voice sets). I know that's fairly common for mods, but I don't remember which files have to go to fix it.

Thank you for your time. :bow:

Look it your medieval2.preference.cfg file. The following two lines should deal with your questions.

[game]
disable_arrow_markers = 1

[video]
show_banners = 0

Sorry, I don't know about the voices, though.

:bow: Thank you, I thought it was something easy like that. The voice question is probably better for the mod's forum, anyway. I just figured I might as well ask about it in case anyone knew.

That's the second time I've hear someone complain that their troops are using English voices, no matter what faction they play. Are you running a mod by any chance ? Maybe Stainless Steel ?

I'm playing the package put together for the Ultimate AI mod, but it seems to be a running thing for mods, and I think I noticed the same thing with Stainless Steel before. After a glance through the forums for the mod I found a post suggesting that you should overwrite the events.dat and events.idx files from the sound folder for the mod with the vanilla ones.

I'm going to try it out tonight. I'll be very happy if my Russian Druzhinas stop saying "For Saint George!". :2thumbsup:
