Hi, no problems here, but i was wondering: Is there a mod or patch of some sort that can provide a decent challenge from the AI? All RTW players must agree that the AI in Rome are not the brightest light-bulbs:idea2: :smash: And im not just talking about the AI when you are fighting them, but also in the campaign mode..i see very little naval invasions and alot of random units walking around...

No, AI in Rome is hardcoded - as far as I know you can't Mod its tactical intelligence.

It is possible to tinker with the Unit types the AI recruits though, as it uses certain Moddable criteria to choose: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=86500

Play some mods like SPQR, Europa Barbarorum, Rome Total Realism, Extended Greek Mode on very hard/very hard, the AI is still dumb but its lot less dumbishh then in normal RTW 1.5

If you want real intelligence adversaries the only option is going online vs other people, but of course thats not the AI.

You can play multiplayer campaigns agaisnt other friends in hotseat or pbems using Myrdall´s multiplayer script, but battles between humans have to be auto-resolved or played agaisnt an AI controlling yours or your friend´s army.

There is already one multiplayer campaign with several humans for Medieval Total War II avaiable.

Thanks both of you, ive tried modding the game before and it works somewhat, ill try SPQR or one of those. And also, you don't have to auto-reolve for Mydraal's script, me and my friends had a sweet ideea and it works:beam: but as for the AI i thought i saw a mod somewhere on the internet...
