Ever since I started playing EB a couple of months back, I was determined to write an AAR, but thanks to my incapacity to take screenshots and the unreliability of my computer, this didn't work out so well. In fact, Rome: Total War doesn't work out so well on my computer. But I still have this urge to write an AAR!
So, what I am asking for permission from the heads of this forum is could I write a so to speak story that is based off events in my EB campaigns? Would this thread be acceptable in the EB general forum? It would incorporate units/factions/wars that occur/appear in EB, so it wouldn't be an irrelevant load of horse****.
Thanks

Are you saying that you're writing a STORY thats not directly related to EB(gameplay and screenshots), but its timeline?
Sounds good.

Yeah that sounds great to me
I'm an amateur writer myself so most of the stories I make that are based on EB are more along the lines of a novel with only a few screenshots.
I see no problem with it as long as there isn't anything too sensational in it like invincible RTW vanilla cataphracts or *gasp* flaming pigs! j/k :clown:

Yes, something like that, but also from the point of view of a fictional character who would be apart of major events in one of my previous campaigns (haven't decided which one yet...)

Alright then, I'm in the clear! I'll start writting this saga in another thread. Thanks!

Sure, any sorts of AAR's are fine as long as they are from/basedon EB - just put it in the Gameplay guide subforum here though.

It might be that you have anti-aliasing enabled that prevents screenshots being taken (if you take them and all you get is the "blackness of nothing"). I think it might be a graphics card thing that causes that... not sure.

Definitely depends on your GFX card. I've AA quality on the highest level; and my screenshots turn out just fine. There's only this one weird sort of crops grown in the desert which invariably reflects the sky... :inquisitive:
Looks really odd when you've got your cavalry standing on a neat rectangular field which is mirroring the sky...

Hm.....I believe the problem on my computer is simply that it is old, bugged, and filthy with viruses. So I'll just write this pseudo-AAR story for the time being, and when I get a new computer (which is very soon), I'll write up a true AAR.....maybe for the Seleucids...or the Macedonians....or.....hm....
Thanks for the help anyways.
