For the cartoon, I meant that the Chinese will think it's silly. I myself am not offended by it, but I think the Chinese won't like the cartoons depiction of how an Asian looks (narrow eyes, buck teeth, and Catholic monk hairstyle). I have no problems with expressing issues, but if there is a prejudice added to it, then it becomes offensive.

Maybe I should've watched the entire cartoon. I might be wrong about the cartoon.

Fragony: the OP is stupid (as Spongebob Squarepants is stupid, I guess) and so totally not funny. But your 2nd post carries one of the funniest commercials I've ever seen; (seen that also in the Best Commercials thread over at the Frontroom).

There are different reasons for disliking the country, it's type of government is not one of the greater ones.

If Spongebob wants to express issues with China, then good for them. But the silly part ruins the point that they're trying to make. (I understand the problems with having so many jobs go to China).

There are a lot of Chinese who are against their government, whether it's environmental or human rights issues. Spongebob could've done well if it concentrated on the issues instead of depicting how they think an Asian looks.
