I've become quite bored with MIITW as of late and really want to give this Mod a try - it's darn near perfect from the sound of it.

My problem is this - during ALL battles custom or campaign - I am unable to zoom in on units using the mouse scroll wheel. I've confirmed that scroll lock is not on. And I've tried battles in Medieval II and I can zoom in and out using the wheel without a problem. And the problem also applies to vanilla RTW. To zoom I have to use the / and * keys.

This is incredibly annoying as I hate using the keyboard for zoom functions. Has anyone had this problem before? Or know how to fix it?

The funny thing is this has happened before with another RTW mod which shall remain nameless. I quit trying to play Rome because of it. The other day I decided to give EB a go and the first battle I fought I was able to use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. But when I relaunched it later in the day I couldn't zoom:furious3:

Incredibly frustrating as I really want to try this mod...thanks

Sorry, this is not an EB issue... You were able to zoom with the scrolling the first time. Have you changed anything in the preferences by any chance? Have you tried to restart your computer rather than only your game?

Could this have anything to do with the camera type settings?

thanks guys. yeah I hadn't changed the default camera type at all. And changing them doesn't seem to help it any either.

Dunno what it is.

Incidentally, I occasionally use a remote desktop program for work and I can't seem to scroll in certain programs inside the remote desktop that I can use the scroll in regularly...So maybe it's a Windows problem?

This mod is so amazing that I'll probably have to learn to live with zooming using keyboard!

I think you can adjust the height settings by using the Ctrl button while moving your mouse. Hold the Ctrl button until you see the pointer have an arrow icon in four directions; then you can move your camera up or down.
Edit: Whoops I meant to say hold ctrl then click on you mouse wheel button; then you will see the pointer go in four directions, and then you can zoom in or out
