When comes the next version of EB?

This might be an annoying thread, but I wish to know the answer so that I'll know if there is any point in starting a new campaign.

Why wouldn't there be a point to starting a new campaign, even if there's a new release? It's plenty of fun as is, and no reason not to stop and restart.

Regardless, it should still take quite a while. When it's nearing release EB members tend to say it's close-ish, and I haven't seen anything of the sort recently.

When the black crow flies at 3 hours past dawn, and the mist rises in the west, look for the next version of EB on the hilltops, and in the valleys!

time doesn't really exist, it is a fictional convention, so therefore the next version always has existed and never will

The next release will be on the 31st July.

I believe you've confused july with june.

Is it really 31st July? It would be sweet I am looking forward my upcoming Pontic campaign with that awsome new pontic general.

It could be. It could be August 1st, it could be July 17th. But don't think the team can give a definitive date beforehand.

The next build will be when the team feels convinced it should be released. And it will be released only, and only then.

Arky was playing a joke that backfired. He would say that the release date is the 31. of june, which is never because june has 30 days. However, july does have 31 days. The release date is not the 31. of july. The remaining time is better measured in months than weeks or years.

Actually there are a lot of theories about this. My favorite was explained to me by my Electrodynamics and relativity professor. It links entropy to the meaning of time and as we can't measure entropy, the only way we have to prove its existance is our "normal" time flow...

It's hillarious...

Cheers...

I saw an eagle flying south with a rabbit in its claws, before it slammed into a building.:dizzy2:
the results are inconclusive.

the date could be when the Superconducting Super Collider is complete

As that is clear then by the way just give me also the exact date of the EB2 release...:clown:

I think it is correct and safe to say that the hardest stuff and most of the stuff that will be in the next build is already in it in our internal build. It still has some things that aren't implemented yet, and some more units that aren't in, and some things need testing and polishing, but the biggest stuff is already in as far as I understand it. Well, litterally the *biggest* things are the elephants - they are done but not implemented and no UI cards made for them yet.

So when will the next build come out? Meh - we don't know. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope we don't run into any problems. I've been doing a campaign where I take minimal actions as Casse and I've gone 40 years without any problems so far. Just seeing some little things to tweak and fix when it comes to things I deal with.

That would depend on CA actually. Well, to some extent.

I'd say that EB 2 would be ready on saturday. Perhaps a monday. Suremy no wednesday tough. Now I only have to figure out the year, month and which day of the month.

I hope time doesn't exist. Then the next time someone asks me to do something I could say that I don't have the time for it.

My magical crystal ball which I regularly use for the exact prevision of x-mas date each year (it has never failed yet!) told me this morning that EB2 will be released on 9th of September 2009. Good news, or not?

Hey, I struggle to remember what day of the week it is most of the time so remembering petty things like the calendar is WAY beyond me.

Now, how does this shoelace thingy work again ... :book:

Are there many big new things (not literal) in the new build? I.e. new game play alterations? Perhaps I shouldn't be asking this.

Some of it is included in the two previews we've had (may and june).

Teleklos, about your Casse Campaign, how as the AI's expansion?

Teleklos Archelaou

Pretty normal. I wasn't using any special add-on files for money and such that some guys are working on. Only thing that was irritating was that the Romans broke through and went north.

Tellos Athenaios
07-08-2007, 21:37
Yep those Latin speaking buggers should be all locked up for their continuous gameplay disbalancing by breaking through north & gameplay spoiling by sending stacks and stacks and stacks again of only locales offences... For ever. ~;)

Hopefully time doesn't exist: then the Romans can be stored forever behind 3D bars, otherwise the fourth dimension may provide them with eddies through which they could escape...

And if time doesn't exist nobody's ever got to start killing rabbits again in agony because of EB not being out there yet...
