Well the manual for Shogun was pathetic and half wrong. Hopefully there is a map of Europe.

I hate .PDF manuals...
If I go and check it out I get bored once I've seen the page of contents, and then I go and play the game, thus forsaking my duty as to find out what I had to do.
(if this still makes sense to you : very good!)

I usually print the pdf manuals, double-sided & two pages per side. I'd rather the company went to the expense of printing a manual instead of making me do it, but doing it myself is better than trying to read long passages of text on screen.

The STW "manual" was utter bull. It gave useles and incorrect information. Even if it had been 80 pages (which is wasn't) handing out a manual with entirely wrong information is a lazy and horrible thing for a company to do. Besides, a game that can be as complicated as Shogun deserves much better. Most people here learned how to really play this game by reading the forums. Let's hope they (CA/Activision/Manual People) do it right this time...

Remember, STW was aimed merely to get great reviews and increase CA's popularity and make them credible...it wasn't really aimed to sell. No wonder CA is never around. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif

MTW was made to sell, so I think it will have a good manual in the box...

"Wow, I didnt know u could impale peasants on spikes"
that thing is usually hilighted in the manual and i dont want it to be...
