My humble opinion about "this forum being NOT CA's core market".
First, Puzz and Tosa, don't leave because you will be sorely missed if you do. You might feel upset by the way this matter has been handled, but hey, we are mature, so a bit miss-understanding or even some abuse can't hurt us, right?
Now back to the point. Again, I haven't read the full story. But one thing though, don't be upset if it turns out that if this forum is NOT CA's core market.
Any reason? It's so obvious. Look at the number of the people that are playing on-line. And compare it with general public. I don't have the exact figure, but it's pretty obvious that on-line community is very very very small.
------------------------------------
But don't be sad about it. I remember while I was playing Diablo I, people who don't cheat on-line are rare commodity. And the core of the cheating is a "dupe" feature that allows you to duplicate those wonderful "spoil of the war". And eventually we realized that it's Blizzard that encourages the cheating all along! Otherwise where did those "perfect" items come from? Otherwise why the game mechnism allows duping to begin with?
But were we upset when finding out that legit players (i.e, those who don't cheat) are not the "core market" of the Blizzard?
No! Becasue we understand that game companies need to make money; while we just have to accept that and KEEP OUR OWN PLAYING STYLE.
