I propose the battle of the navas of tolosa.
An army formed by spanish crusades(Castille;aragon;navarra)and troops from Frances engaged an army of fanatic almohades, the emir was protected by a guard of black nubians soldiers enchained.

I think the Battle of Tours should be in. Even though it happened far before the game actually starts. But it is still a great Medieval Battle that changed the French military forever...

I wanted to have Najera and Bouvines in the list, but I am sure some modder will make them for me. Najera was like Agincourt, another longb0wnage battle, and Bouvines supposedly was the "Battle that made France"
"Battle that made france"
wierd...

They betterhave Manzikert. That was the battle that established the Seljuks as a world power, and caused the 1st Crusade!

Manzikert is not in the game, as I remembered a thread at the .com where Tzentri told me that Manzikert was before the starting date of MTW. Also, the Kataphractoi used bows back then, something they cannot do in MTW.
Would anyone be interested in historical battles that did indeed exist, yet you have some say in what pieces you bring and how you use them depending on the funds the ruler in question had available? I find historical battles somewhat of a bore because they are fixed and linear...add something of the campaigns management and theyl might become more interesting...

After manzikert byzantium wasn't the same. When was manzikert anyway??
Emp. Conralius

Manzikert was in 1071. It really should still be in. Hastings is in and it happened in 1066.
Ummm... Hastings is not in the game... no animosity intended.....
I guess they had to put a limit somewhere. If Manzikert was in, they would have to put hastings in, and then they'd say "well if Hastings is in then we might as well include Lechfeld", and then Tours and so on until the game would have to be called "Human Civilization: Nothing but Total War" and that's a mouthfull.
