In frontend_files/ArmySelect, there are two files:
22 unit panel.BIF
16 unit panel.BIF

Does that mean we may have up to 22 units, not just 16? Or does that mean in multiplayer battle, we could chose among 16 or 22 units (depending on era)?

I think I remember reading somewhere that in multiplayer we'll be able to control up to 2000 troops or something like that. So to answer your question....I dunno http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Does that means it will show, like in STW, two teams, with a crossswords in the middle, but also let us pick the start region of each army?

That would be a welcome improvement. The starting army no longer depends on the color of your coat of arm.

If this is true, then it is easier to setup multiplayer battles.

I've personally never played multiplayer, cause I haven't been able to http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif so I wouldn't be of any help.

i think if ur default unit is say 60 u can creat units thats max are 40 or 80 based around the default size as 60, may come into play in campaing mode.

Max in a unit is 200 I think. Armys are bigger and I'm sure of it.

I think 22 unit panel will be the total for the Crusade on the stratigic map, but only 16 will appaer on the battle map (16 for each army), the rest will come as reinforsements. But again this is demo, so the final version might have some sort of changes.

im pretty sure that the max is 200 units , though they might change this in the final version , u should be able to have up to 500 or so , if you edit and change the units to 500 the game quits

i found that 22 unit thing a while ago and thought it might have something to do with sieges but alas it doesn't.

about the florin thing: in the nit .adf files it says stuff like generalisdaimyo. they didn't put a lot of onus on that kind of stuff

22 units would be great, it woulsd increase the game for me no end because the extra tactical luxury of having them.

Not true!

Online, you WILL play those fellers with crap computers. And the game will LAG as a result!

So, don't dismiss it just because you PC is brand new. Those 4v4s will humble you soon enough.

vyanvotts has a good point that isnt often touched upon, Im in the luxury of having a very decent computer, but ther are others who will struggle with the game, I wonder how much options can be toned down?

at the monemt im running on a 466mhz with 127 ram..demo works fine in 640x480 resoloution....lol.....until the last battle! 1 frame per second!

If you take a look in the frontend file you will find loads of info!
For instance you can set the koku... ehhh florins for both sides so attackers might have more florins than the defender. Ain't that nice.

I'm quite certain that Agincourt was supposed to have been the last battle in the demo, a battle that came after Jaffa, thus giving us two battles. Look at this:

Koku was hard-coded in as the unit of currency, so rather than recode every instance of Koku, they just rename the visible parts.
