My 1 year old ASUS monitor started behaving erraticaly.
I had a bright desktop, and today, when I exited the game, I found it even brighter (something like the RTW BI Bloom on max), and everything is without margins.
What I mean to say is that, eg, the desktop icons are very bright and blurred.
Can you help me? I tried everything from monitor settings to Desktop Properties.
Have you tried restarting you computer?

Yes, but to no use. I tried changing the resolution, it's still the same thing.
:help:
You could try many things, try another monitor cable, try another monitor and try another graphicscard. Or just tell us whether the problem exists in the BIOS as well. If it doesn't then I would reinstall the graphicsdriver for example. Or just try resetting all settings in the graphicsdriver to standard, could be that something somehow messed up your colour settings etc in the graphicsdriver.

Hmmm, it happened when I exited FIFA 2007. It's waaay too bright, and only in desktop mode. In games its perfect.
Ill try to reset everything related to it.

You checked on the FIFA 2007 site :book: to see if anyone else is having the same problem after installing the game? You may find it's software related, I hope so for the sake of your wallet. :sweatdrop:

Stupid me. I just reinstalled the drivers, resetted the monitor options and now it works. :beam:

Glad it worked out to be the non expensive software issue.
Mind you, the easiest way to check if something like this is faulty after about 1 year is to check your warranty. If you have a 12 month warranty and the problem appears 12 months and 1 day after you have bought the item, it is definitely a hardware fault. :wall:
