CRITICAL INFO:
POST YOUR SAVEGAME. Here's how.

\
* Which version are you playing? The 0.81a series is by far the most stable versions we've released. 0.81a V2 takes it up another notch. You can get help with earlier versions, but will have lower priority than those who play the current version. Be prepared for a wait, and possibly no help at all. If you are playing any other version but 0.81a V2, you shouldn't. Except to finish off a campaign you really love, of course, but then again, you might not be able to due to this crash you're experiencing... Note that 0.81a V2 is savegame compatible with 0.81a, so there is no reason to play 0.81a anymore.
The latest, V2
* On the same topic, do you have any unofficial mods installed?
No
* Have you applied all the permanent fixes for 0.81a V2 in this sticky?
Yes
* Have you deleted map.rwm? Please see this sticky to know why this is really important. If you haven't tried yet, do it now.
Yes
* Have you tried all the temporary fixes in the sticky mentioned earlier? If not, do that right now.
I did the CTD one, the Oasis. The others didnt seem relevant.
* Does it still crash if you do not enable the background script?
Yes
* Have you tried it 3 times or more, with consistent crashes?
4 times total.
* Did you remember to say which version you are playing?
Yep
* Have you diligently started the background script every time you loaded the game? Occasionally not having it activated will probably not make any difference, but running most of the game without it is likely to make stuff inconsistent.
Yes
* What is happening when the crash occurs? Are you attacking someone, were you attacked, were you conducting diplomacy, was the AI doing its turn (if so, which faction?) etc.
It is the end of my turn. All the activity for this turn has finished. Edessa, my territory, is besieged by an AS army. One of my armies has just left Elboktra (sp!) after massecering and tearing everything down and it is in open rebellion so it could be the most probable problem as the public order is set to 0!
* Where does stuff happen when the crash occurs? This makes us able to focus more on the area in question instead of looking around the map.
Just around Armenia and Syria
* What year is it?
238
* Are any cities about to rebel? There are apparently all sorts of bad stuff that can happen with this. We've eliminated most, at least with the temporary fix, but at least one kind remains.Yes, ibid.
