:help: :help: :help:

I've also posted this in the Hardware/Software section but I'm posting here for more visibility... sorry...:embarassed:

I've just installed the 1.2 update patch and wanted to resume playing my 1.1 campaign that i had saved before uninstalling and reinstalling the behemoth that MTW and its upgrade is...

So I copied the previously-saved "saves" directory back into the M2TW folder but on launching the game, the savegames do not appear in the "Load Campaign Game" section of the menu...

Anyone with an explanation or solution... :help:

I rellay don't want to start over, having reached 1300 AD...

I believe you cannot use saved games from 1.1 on 1.2

Many people have missed out on my shared save game files because I use the original 1.0 version, and no one uses that anymore.

You can use 1.0 saves in 1.2. At least my saves of an England campaign in 1.0 loaded and I played couple of turns, and everything looks fine.

It might be connected to the thing that 1.2 patch is from the foundation patch. It bases it's changes on 1.0 not 1.1. So some of the changes of 1.1 may have not beend done the same so they are not compatible (people reported crashes when instaling 1.2 over 1.1).

Sorry guys...

I've checked my directories and didn't notice there was a dot "." before the "saves" directory thus creating a new (and empty) directory on starting the game...

So never mind...

By the way, 1.1 savegames works real fine in 1.2 and even fixes some of the bugs that remained in those saves such as making family members married to foreign parties reappear on the family tree... (So good, I can finally know the extent of my family...)
