Just how does one get this 'Historian' badge??

I noticed a discussion pertaining to the Battle of Adrianople and throughout the thread no one even mentions Ammianus!!

I think that's part of the HoF awards. Which people are nominated, then there is a poll put up for everyone to vote on.

The honourable Historian Badge is awarded by staff for excellent contributions to the Monastery forum (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=16) which exists for historical discussions. I don't think any new badges have been given out recently though, the last one was offered to Adrian II in October 2005 - almost two years ago. Hope this helps you, cheers.
