when you play the Imperial faction for the long campaign your winning description is to take rome and win 50 provinces right? well I know how to change find the win desc file but cna you change the province to win number? I want to change it to the whole map like in MTW via saying conquer 87 provinces for example so in orderto win you have to take all the provinces on the map.... is this possible or is it Hardcoded to end at 50?

And yes I do know about the quick save during the win video to continue but it dont always work so i would like to sort this out if its possible.IF so how? please

I had a problem like this. I beat my first campaign using 1.0, and then upgraded to 1.2. I wanted to keep going in the campaign, but it wouldn't let me. I then upgraded to 1.5, and after playing with that for a bit, I tried opening the game. I loaded it, ended the turn, the win screen came up. There was an option to keep playing.

So what I am trying to say, open RTW, click options. In the top left corner, see what it says. If it says v 1.0, 1.2, 1.3, try upgrading to 1.5

Good luck,
RM3

Yes I have looked in this file and it says iperator and take rome there is nothing in there about the amount of provinces to take :whip: in my version of the file. this is why i asked if it hardcoded or if was in a different file, is it different in your version of the decr_win? also I am running v1.5

The only you need to do, is paste this:
CODE
romans_julii
hold_regions
take_regions 85
short_campaign outlive_factions
gauls

if you want, you can add regions, that need to be hold:

hold_regions Etruria Latium ...so on
REMEMBER: this should be added to every faction( instead of imperator/take_rome), otherwise there are no win conditions for it and others.
hold_regions *
take_regions *

tested with 1.5

Charge, what are you trying to do? and if that is map_heights.tga no you can't have funny coloured pixels in it, you should have tones of pure blue RGB 0 0 253
etc for the sea and grey scale RGB 1 1 1 and lighter for the land

:)
picture from template, i'm uncertain in land pixels of peninsula. Is it possible? or it like rivers in map_features?

the area of water is only determined by the map_heights.tga if you put some dark grey land pixels eg. RGB 1 1 1 in a water area and delete the map.rwm and map_heights.hgt (for RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6) then that area will appear as land when you start new campaign. So you can change the coastline to anything you want.

You will only have problems if what you change makes ports inland or cities or armies in the sea, in which case you'd have to change map_regions.tga or descr_strat.txt positions as well.
