i think you can only choose between ransoming or killing them. i don't think they'd want to fight for you, and if you made them, you'd have them attacking your owns troops putting purple stones in the general's wine and whatnot, prolly wouldn't be good. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Just hire mercenaries.. somewhat more loyal because they don't have a grudge against you for capturing them and brutally torturing them.
