Where's the blood?

I'm playing LTC 2.3 and I've just seen that there is no blood in the battles! How do I get it back?

Select shader2 in the graphics options menu, LTC changes nothing about the blood settings.

Oh, and before you say the settings don't save when you reload the game, that's a problem with using the mod switch, so make the changes in M2Tw, then run cfgfixer.bat in the Medieval II Total War and the changed settings will appear in the mod.
