Well I have loaded up latest demo from PCZone mag which claims to be V2.

Checked the unit stats files and there are 4 units missing from v2 that were in v1. i.e. 4 rows less in v2.

The units missingh are:

EarlyRoyalGhulamKnights
EarlyRoyalKnights
HighRoyalGhulamKnights
HighRoyalKnights

So that just leaves the LateRoyalKnights and Ghulam equiv. i.e. the best of the 3 levels. Either the others will be back in full game or they are sticking with the Late Knights throughout the whole game.

Not found any other differences yet. Anyone else found any diffs?

Dr. it might be the other way around, but they have just said they are V2 to make more people download from them.

Hit counter is important for most of these sites.

I didn't download from website, this is of the latest mag.

V2 has the 4 missing units.

What about the graphical improvement?

Teraza, I can't say I noticed any graphic differences. I have high end system so look great in both. Perhaps it's in the fine detail as I don't look too closely.
Would need to put them side by side to see I think.

Anyway onto more startling revelations of the differences between the versions.

In V1 catapults do ok damage to enemy troops but not a major cause for concern.
In V2 they kick ass big time.

Anyone who has both versions try out my Catapult madness mod hosted by Choco and Barocca to see the differences.
In V1 each catapult would kill about 10-20 men throughout whole battle, in V2 they kill 60-100 by the time the enemy has reached h-t-h combat range.

Basically the battle is that you have 8 Catapults on top of a hill with 4 100 man Billmen units to shield them and a 40 man ChivalricKnight unit with your leader.
Enemy has 4 200 man ChivalricFootKnights units, 4 100 man Archer units and a 100 man ChivalricKnight leader unit.

In V1 it's a big h-t-h fight and a very close battle, in V2 that catapults rout the enemy with just a little h-t-h.

Other things I found is that in V1 the maximum distance for catapults
were greater than in V2 and minimum shorter.
In V2 it's more realistic.

The red zone in V2 for maps is also about 5 to 10 times bigger than in V1.

The catapult differences explain why some people thought they did too much damage while others(me) thought they didn't do enough and was very confused by other peoples claims.

I wonder what other differences there are?

The 'invisible' arrows?
I never saw V1 demo, i saw plaenty of people talking about invisible arrows,
You can see the arrows in V2,
mind you they look a lot like huge rockets...
