How can you improve your relations with other factions?
1. give them small cash gifts (100, 200 or 500) every turn
2. attack their enemies
3. request attack on their enemies paying them money for it
4. suggest attacking their enemies together
5. get military access
6. never use spies/assassins against your allies
7. release (or at least ransom) POWs
8. exchange map info from time to time
I use these most when I need to get relations to perfect and also that affects positively your global reputation

The easy way is to give them stuff...
Gifting a city or fort will usually make them love you but any agreement helps and the gift of 100fl will usually raise you about a point...but always do it in gifts of 100 at a time even if you are gifting them 1000 in a turn...do in in 10 gifts of 100...it works better.

If you're willing to abuse an exploit find a deal that's positive, but that they won't accept and make it over and over again in diplomacy. Gradually (About 1 slot every 3-5 offers) your reputation will improve, and they won't dump the negotiations as long as the offer is positive. Time consuming, but you can have perfect relations with a faction even in the middle of a war with them. :laugh4:

Thanks for the replies,
I figured the guild had a guide of some sort for diplomacy, and I found one in the main FAQ.
