View Full Version : Does the HRE work yet?

I've never played the HRE, but I'd like to.

My question is: before the patch, many HRE units were broken or didn't work very well, such as the spearmen and 2H units.

Is this fixed? Any HRE glitches I should know about?

Most are fixed from the 1.2 patch. But if you wat more improvement just download the LTC mod.

It basically is Medieval 2 as you would expect it to function.

Yes.

Its main goal, in fact, was to restore that balance ~;)

LTC aside, I play almost always as the HRE. I find the units quite functional, and even the Imperial units do their duty to the Kaiser without fail.

I'm playing an LTC 3.0 game as HRE, one of the best campaigns I've played so far. It just takes so long to get to the feudal units... Im at the year 1160 and can't get a fortress(which has feudal knights) yet.

I'm having an odd problem with LTC, when I order my units to attack, only the front rows attack, and the rest remain where they are. Usually happens with spearmen.

Anyone heard of this glitch?

Thats not an LTC mod problem, thats a general problem people have discussed many times. It has to do with unit cohesion and all that, but basically, blame it on the game makers :sweatdrop:

CA scored well with the HRE. Because of all the German gamers, it is a very popular faction. With the 2H bug long since fixed, it's popularity should only increase.
