Im sorry.. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/redface.gif
Very good pics there Prodigy, shows quite a bit of what we havn't seen so far.
Check the custom battle unit selection, how long will it take people to select their armies now?
Also spotted that the trebs now have 20 men manning them rather than the 12 men in demo.
JRock hope you read this as this may be the change they made to ease your concern.

Great screenies, thats the first time ive seen the campaign selection screen http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
It's good to see that there's a campaign turtorial. I felt a bit overwhelmed when I had to just dive into the campaign in Shogun with no guidance.

one of those screenshots answers the question about the function of Glorious Achievements . . . it looks like they *can* be a victory condition, or they can just be something that adds points along the way - whichever you select. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Did you see that Cyprus belongs to France? A good indication that Outremer might be included, and belongs to France.
Not bad if you ask me.
Egypt looks great, while Byzantines have shruck (about to fall...). France is getting it together. Swiss seem to be kicking some HRE ass (or just surviving). Malta is no longer Italian (or was it ever).
Strange, English have Sicily. Does any one know anything about that?

I believe that Sicily is ruled by Aragon at that time. They are a different shade of red than England.

Yeah, that definitely isnt the English shade of red on sicily, its a bit confusing i know, there are about 3 or 4 factions and minor factions that use some shade of red on the map :\
I sure hope it is not English. English Sicily even sounds terrible. Kinda like Russian Egypt. He he he!

i'm prolly the only one to care, but there is also a screenshot in there of the editor. interesting...they're keeping track of and displaying the poly count in the editor. nice touch.

Sicily belonged to Aragon. And it was conquered by an army of almughavars
Superb pics! These tell a lot about aspects of the game that interest many of us.
There are still Weapon and Armour upgrades and 'honour' is now valour. Probably valour numbers will be shown next to names in MP. It also seems there is a 'Save army configuration' option...very good.
The map editor looks good - similar to the MI one. I hope it's a little more perfect though - I feel the MI editor had too many restrictions, particularly about water.
Last thing...what is that island zoomed right under Italy? http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

That damn island malta. I heard thats where the devil lives.HEHE
Byzantium starting small in the late period is pretty interesting. When would the peak of Byzantine be? Early or High?
The peak of Byzantium unfortunatly is before the game start , from Yarmuk (636) is a downfall that goes throught Manzikert and the fourth crusade ... with some bright spot in the middle ...
They most likely be strongest in the Early period.
In the Early Period they have a lot of land to cover with very few soldiers (but good ones). If uncontrolled, rebelions might start.

But in the late period they have few territories, i agree that they dont really have a high point in the game, although they are still a good faction.
