Just some nerdfun if you're bored out of your skull. Grab superpi here (http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/), and then run the 1M calculation and post your screenshots and pc stats.

My pathetic current machine: AMD 3800+ 64bit (single core) at stock speeds, 1gb OCZ ram running at 2-2-2-8-1T timings, stock FSB.

I found it weird that Vista showed only 51% CPU usage so I included the Task Manager.

It's nice to see that there is still potential and the thing isn't even overclocked.:beam:

Upon request from Whacker, I shall include my glorious system stats:

Core2Duo E6600
2GB DDR2 667 CL5
and an AsRock 775Dual VSTA
rest should not be important.

@Husar - the program is single threaded => 51% = 100% on core one; .5% overhead on core 2

I thought so sapi, but apparently the first core is not fully used and the second core gets the load that the first one doesn't get.:dizzy2:
Since I closed all background stuff that seems a bit weird, but anyway, where is your screen? ~;)

Odd, then :wall:

As for my time...well...55 secs ~:)

A 3500+ is old hat these days, and can't hope to compete with the new C2Ds :grin2:

That just puts things in perspective...
The Crap we have to live with.. This machine is going back to sender. I will demand a new one.

Acer Aspire 1312XC notebook
AMD Athlon XP-M 2000+
768MB DDR 266 CL2 (recently upgraded from 256MB)
and a wonder that it didn't crash due to overheating ~;)

edit: Looks like that is what Ichi has, the CPU at least.

Finally I don't need to feel like the biggest nerd anymore.:laugh4:

Also kinda proves that the program uses only one core.

Looking forward to your overclocking, I've seen someone get 12 seconds with an overclocked Core 2 Duo something.
