Ok, kids of the nineties. Time for some nostalgia !

:belly: :elephant: :belly:

Here we go! Cm'on!

Let's start with some real Belgian retro house/trance/dance classics:

Bonzai! - Bonzai Channel One (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=dDA6_52alaA)

Cherrymoon Trax II - Let there be House (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=2j2dJ68MNRc)

Bonzai - Belgium Jump! (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Q02NEsEOWw8)

Jones & Stephenson - First Rebirth (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=GqIHVJX8HRU)

Space Frog - Follow me (http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=S4kxdxEdb08)

Krid Snero - White line (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=AguerxVcu2Y)

WARNING: title of this particular song might be offensive, but hell, this is one great track!

:daisy: Babyboomers - Absolom (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=6h__PtVGuik)

Afflito - Fiocco (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=hoQr33l8ABw) (Unfortunately not the best quality - feel free to post a better version)

Milk Inc - In my eyes (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=TWtThe4YDgY)

Some more classix

Energy 52 - Café del Mar (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=BUt-Gn80hD0&mode=related&search=)

Age of Love - Age of Love (Jam & Spoon mix) (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=MT9pH9C7Oew&mode=related&search=)

A nice compilation (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=v09VKnCYmdU&NR=1)

And if you like a bit "harder", check this (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=bQMUiFlTerI&NR=1)

This list is far from complete.

Post your beats, get on your feet and dance!

I was looking for one of the most idiot songs of them all from Tnt, but couldn't find it. So we'll have to do with the second most idiot song:

D-Devils - dance with the devil (http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=AdQDEfU2EQ4)

Let's stick to good retro shall we?

Bonzai mega mix (http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=znh8fd0YX4I)

Cherrymoon (http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=bAsR0hZGkMg&mode=related&search=)

And if you need to burn some calories, try hacking/jumping on this:

Just follow the rythm ~;)

Scooter - Move your :daisy: (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=TPvsHo4NPNo)

And some more hardcore. Try working out with this on maximum volume:

Marshall Masters - I like it loud (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=H1IrZZ68sRU)

Marshall Masters (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=kID2Oo4MeWA&mode=related&search=)

Scooter - hyper hyper (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=9apmKpQWc-c)

Indeed, I tried searching for "al wie dan niet springt" but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Also you posted Milk Inc.

Can I assume that you will be in Essen this year around August 25th?
Maybe you need a hint (http://www.loveparade.de/).

I don't have much of an idea about retro stuff or what fits into what genre exactly, mostly I just listen to Beirut Nights Radio (http://www.beirutnights.com/) as you may know. Most of their music is softer than what you posted I think. Let me give some examples:

Mario Lopez - Alone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kV1GtncLJpg)

Karma - Amore mio (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4A3RjaSaExU&mode=related&search=)

Scooter - One (Always Hardcore) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygWV__SMt7M)

Paolo Ligorio - The colours of my life (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=117539128) (myspace link)

Well, that's it for now, it's not retro anyway...I'm soooo uncool.

FHM High Street Honeys - I Touch Myself (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL31BInz7MM)
Warning: Contains girls who don't behave like nuns.

Starsplash - Cold As Ice 2.07 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdAT7nnlDno)

 ~

I don't know, but I find hardcore rather boring, it's just boom, boom, boom, and this one even has some weird voice disturbing the "music". ~;)

Might also be a good time to have a look at this (http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html) again.

Most of the music I like can probably be found somewhere in the House and Trance sections. Like this:

Alice Deejay - Better off alone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dBu5X3TvNw&mode=related&search=)

And Moros, I'd certainly not know any better than those girls.:laugh4:

Well you have to hear it loud, it's all energy. Some of that all boom is surprisingly well composed, but you don't hear that on pc-speakers. Bass twisting, sucking, curling..... Youth sentiment rather then artistic apreciation though :beam:

I hear you, but you have to admit, the youth sentiment gives this music some extra.

On the other hand, maybe you were a bit too young at the time this music was at his peek.

Some more:

Milk Inc - Oceans (remix) (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=pklusN5LE9s)

The Mackenzie feat Jesse - Innocence (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl4Z0WlCafY&mode=related&search=)

The Mackenzie feat Jessy - All I need (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=XB85_xFOsnE&mode=related&search=)

And this song has something "hot", "hot" like in: imagine some good looking girl dancing in front of you and you go dancing right next to her, close, try to catch her eyes, ah, grrrrr... : The Mackenzie feat Jessy - without you (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=K0DMqHmBmGg)

Oh, and look at what I found. Great song, really great, and it's belgian :2thumbsup: --> Praga Khan - Breakfast in Vegas (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=d5KAvacoZFg&mode=related&search=)

Excellent taste good sir, excellent taste. This is my favourite 2 Brothers-song: Never alone (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=K7xSWv56Sik&mode=related&search=")

Indeed feels like J&H, that one. And I prefer most J&H songs over it. Het initial start of the melody is great.. but it's less 'trancy' later on.

Btw, in the past ... 6 or so months, a different genre has conquered my mind. Hardstyle. (more specific, preferably the newer kind of hardstyle, sometimes called 'Nustyle'... it's more melodic)

It's pretty hard sometimes though, and most of the time there's few variation. I love it, but I can imagine others not doing so.

Nice examples;

Headhunterz:

Noisecontrollers:

(note that most have intro's and outro's, which are probably even worse for those who don't like harddance music.. you might want to skip them)

Gotta love it!

Btw, Moros, do you ever 'jump' nowadays?

Glad to see Juno Reactor, Praga Khan, and Ian van Dahl make it on here though.

I prefer a little harder "edge" to my music but I do have a soft spot for Orbital.

I don't know about you guys, but anyone else getting the impression that there's a little revival of house and dance music going on lately (since a year or so)? Or has it never really been away?
