Changing my position

[Erado the Black]

Hi everybody,

It's not too hard to recognise me as Erado San. I have chosen to re-register with this new account, because I resign as admin of this forum. I will remain as moderator of the tech forum, and there you will only see me post as Erado San. In every other forum you will see me post as Erado the Black.

This decision has not been made tonight. I informed the other members of the ORG staff a few days ago. They have yet to make the decision whether as Erado San I remain admin or whether my role will be changed to moderator for the tech forum only.

The reasons for this change are mainly that holding this position in both the official forum and here is no longer wise. It's bound to get busy in both forums soon and I can't be in both places at the same time.

Besides that, there is also a conflict of interest. As a patron I have opinions and views, but as admin you have to be careful of your position when reflecting your views. Yet, in none of the forums I am a patron. That has changed now. I will not take any further action as moderator/admin in any forum in the Sword Dojo but the tech forum.

I have done this for a long time, with (mostly) a lot of pleasure. Often people have thought my actions controversial. I have done it the way I thought best. Made mistakes like everybody else, done the right thing in many more cases (at least I think so).

To the other staff members, the current ones and those that served this community in the past, I want to say that it has been a great pleasure working with you for the better of this community. Again, as tech moderator I will keep doing my share. I know you are well capable enough to keep this forum rolling without me as an admin.

The move to 1 forum is a good idea,as the
Sword Dojo is going to get slammed like a
98 lb. wrestler in about a month or so.

Let me add that his patient, no-nonsense treatment of my tech questions/comments (I started my .Org life in the Tech forum) was what led me to return day-after-day, eventually looking into other forums and finding a 'home' here.

The name Erado the Black has a long history of Role Playing games. Yes, it is a name more suited to the Medieval future ahead of us.

Tera, compared to about half a year ago moderating the .com is like Kindergarten. But yes, there are ideas about adding staff there. Thanks for your appreciation mate.

Kraellin, you'll have to manage that coup on your own now. Last bit of advice... be careful with that blowtorch.

And no, you won't see me online on STW and WE/MI anymore. You will see me on MTW Online though.
