Just played the demo, isn't anyone else bothered by the blue pants of the chivalric knights. I hope they change the colour before the game comes out.

Blue pants are for the distubtion of the enemy. Enemy unconcentrated = you kick his ass!

But seriously, DD mentioned that CA made a lot of changes to gameplay, maybe even some to sprites and battle map.

lolol

How the heck can you tell what colour pants they are wearing? They take their trousers off to show you?

(Brits will understand that)

Well look guys, medieval cavalry wore armor, not blue tights unless they`re in an Errol Flynn movie.

You mean in the battle of Agincourt, when many English longbow men fought naked below the belt?

What a horrific sight that must be. No wonder French lost big time.

Just thank the heavens that CA hasn't gone THAT realistic!!

10000 well armed NAKED warriors charging each other...yuck. Imagine the carnage.

Blue pants are fine by me.

It would be great if the scottish clansmen lifted up their kilts before a battle to scare their opponents off http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think you wouldnt want to be flanked by Pikemen then. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

That's one reason why historians thrashed Braveheart so much. The Celts only painted themselves blue and fought naked around the time of the Romans. They only did this in the movies because they wated Mel Gibson and his bunch to appear more fearsome. Also they film neglected the fact that the Scots didn't were kilts in that point in histor.

Fancy the chances of that happening.

Well right now im watching the videos of the SHogun mini-series and I have just seen a peasant running around with only a thong on! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/eek.gif

I mean thats just nasty! I don't wanna see some Japanese guy's arse while im thinking of downloading the Pam and Tommy video!! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

But about the blue trousers(pants) its common for demos to be slightly different. Loads of programming companies do it.

Beavis, not all mounted knights had freaking head to toe armor. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif

umm, is it just me or are chilvaric knights far to powerful?
In the demo, I cocked up the ambush level, lost almost all my forces, yet my knights ook out two units of kataphorkai charging at em, and two regiments of archers and I think maybe a third unit of kataphraoikai as well, thats to good, since I cocked up the actually ambush!

they are very strong that's true but it's also the honour levels in the demo, which are weighted towards you.

Funky Phantom

Yeah, in the battle of Jaffa, all the enemy troops have 0 morale while all yours have about 3 plus improved weapons, which means their troops run away very easily while yours fight to the last...
