View Full Version : This isn't a bug...

As I say, this isn't a bug, but I thought this forum was the most likely home for my question: On my campaign map while playing EB I notice severely degraded graphics- the banners and figures become fuzzy and ill-shaped- but this seems completely arbitrary because sometimes it becomes worse or better, and there are a few happy moments where the map is as clear and pretty as it used to be. The only way I have to try and improve the campaign map graphics is by toggling between my two resolution choices after hitting ESC then VIDEO OPTIONS- if I just move back and forth, it inexplicably becomes better (or worse).
Can someone tell me what is the cause my computer's very sporadic graphics? Or maybe even how to fix it so it is ALWAYS nice, not a gamble every time I load the game up?
Thanks

What is the max resolution of your monitor, and what are your campaign map & battle map resolutions?

I think my computer screen's resolution is 1024 x 768
When I load up RTW I only have two choices of resolution (unlike some computers I've seen which have a lot more) which are 1024 x 768 x 16 or
1024 x 768 x 32.
The funny thing is, the whole affair is very random; sometimes it's so bad I can only discern the faction by color of the flag (which becomes a fuzzy semi-rectangular blob) and other times it runs as well as any other computer. There isn't any noticable difference between the two settings, and it seems like it's run by a randomizer. I never had this problem before EB, but I doubt it's EB's fault really. I just wonder if there's anyone who knows why this is going on or how to fix it.:help:

...so no one here knows what this might be about? nuts...
No, sorry, don't know what it might be ... Did you try to change Windows' resolution? Have you tried running it windowed, by using the -ne switch in the EB shortcut?
