im curious to know exactly were they fit in has calavery, better than hippies and worse the hertoi or better

Not as good as Hetairoi. Shock cavalry with a better chance in melee because of the shield, but their armor isn't as good. Also, because they use the lonche instead of the xyston their charge isn't as powerful.

I'm really looking forward to using them :)
The Hippeis in game currently are really too light & Hetairoi really too expensive for my liking & Lonchophoroi look like a very happy medium (sorry for pun).

If I remember it good, there are two versions of seleucid lonchophoroi. Which is the correct one?

Hm... I don't really think that these "newcomers" can replace my precious prodromoi. Just have too much good memories about them... And there is no other unit in my battleplans which can be replaced by this one. Infantry unit number will stay the same, has been succesfull many times, and my kataphraktoi and Hetairoi will stay. Well, sucks to be one of my seleucid lonchoporoi:laugh4:
