Jan Zizka and the War Wagons

Is this famous general represented in MTW? His peasant/Hussite army is described in 'Medieval Warlords' by Tim Newark--

"In addition to individual arms, Ziska oversaw the conversion of peasant carts into his famous war wagons. Until his followers had more horses, he knew his army would consist largely of foot soldiers and they had to be protected from the eastern European horsemen of Sigismund. The outsides of ordinary wagons were strengtheneed with wooden boards. Sometimes the boards were in turn reinforced with iron strips and given loopholes through which bowmen and handgunners could shoot..."

Yee haw! Circle the wagons! Ya gotta admit it would make an interesting army in MTW.

Other powers copied the wagen lager but no one else had as much success with it.

War wagons sound like a unit type for an expansion. As for old one eye (he wa missing his left eye) I don't think hes a general in the game. the Roman Empire's glorius achievement of keeping the Hussites in control only deals with keeping heresy in Bohemia below a certain percent, so The Hussites won't really be a faction or take the field in battle. I may be wrong though.

I of course know you meant in that time period http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif , it was the first image that jumped into my mind when I read the original post.

I think it's strange that not more varied battlefield devices were used, but that's from the point of view that battles were well organised affairs planned well in advance.

Yeah, maybe all Custer needed at Little Big Horn was a few dozen wagons! Couldn't have hurt.
