I'm not much into the Romans but i'm curious to when did Roman armor change to the imperial style with plate armor? Also, why is there none in EB?

The lorica segmentata you speak of appeared around 6 AD I believe, and only began being widespread around 30(?) years later. This just so happens to be just after EB's time frame, and thus was not included.

Recently I had to notice that the Romans invented segmented armour already in the early 3rd c. BC! I was told that by a friend who knows someone who knows the kitchen boy of a very famous archeologican. He told him that this man has found a contemporary military manual of about 272 BC (in a secret papal library) which shows an armour which looks exactly like Corbridge type A armour! And in the manual the armour is named "lorica segmentata", exactly the name given to it by modern researchers! Isn't it wonderful? The theory why it is not shown in the art for a long time is apodictic: the early artists were not able to catch the beauty of the cuirass so the artistic convention spread not to show it at all. Unfortunately the manual was destroyed by cleaning personal before it could be published or even copied.

Nevertheless I demand the introduction of lorica segmentata into EB as the only Roman armour from the beginning.:dizzy2:

Anastasios, in case you're wondering the negative responses, a lorica segmentata thread crops up once a week here, and that's been happening for years. It's a bit ad nauseum topic. You can incite a historical debate here by starting a thread concerning almost anything else than lorica segmentata, exhibit A (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=47080). Segmentata is just not a chord one wishes to strike around here.

I have a time machine so we can just take an example of Lorica Segmentata back to 272 BC and have the Romans use it then, that way we can have both in EB.

While we're at it let's take a couple of books on:
physics, biology, chemistry, history (let em know what's coming and how to avoid it), economics, and just for fun we can take a manual on how to make muskets and cannons and gunpowder. Legionnaires with guns, wtf!!!

What are they called in English?

In German it's Babaorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Kleinbonum.

In Norwegian it's Barbarium, Aquarium, Laudanum and Lillebonum. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_translations_of_Asterix says they're Compendium, Aquarium, Laudanum and Totorum in English.

It's hard to pinpoint the actual site of the village, because there's a magnifying glass that distorts the map. I figure it's somewhere near modern Tourlaville, but that's just a theory based on the placement of the magnifying glass (directly between modern Morlaix and Abbeville). If we could locate the Roman garrisons, we could measure the location of the village itself and set up an excavation. I'm confident that the town of Bretteville (49´39' 28"N, 1´31' 36"W) just might be what we're looking for.

The Roman sites are Petitbonum, Laudanum, Aquarium, and Barbarorum in the Dutch translation. Since we know from various pictures in the books that the village is very, very close to the sea (visible from the shore), and that there are some sheer cliffs located as well...
