View Full Version : Kingdoms Release date announced!
Everyone registered at totalwar.com have recieved an email, and if you follow it and register you will get to know the release date of Medieval 2 Total War: Kingdoms!
31.08.2007! Hurray!
They haven't copyrighted a date now, have they? What next?

:laugh4:
Now now do try and be less cynical.
Oh, for the sake of all that's holy, just tell the date. Why would any gaming company in their right mind NOT want you to know when their product is getting released?
Edit: Since I did not get such an email, I can't be breaking any confidences that were entrusted to me when I say... 31/8/07. ^_^ (Found it on another forum.)
Yay! A day earlier! ^_^
A day earlier?
well, we know from about 2 weeks in poland that game will be released in 6 september in our country and in 31 august in rest of the world.
A day earlier?
Well... yeah. The first time I looked at your post, I could've sworn it said the 30th, instead of the 31st. I assume you edited it immediately, or something.
Either that or I'm insane, which I've long suspected.
Edit: Well, since you've also completely rewritten post #1, I'm going to assume that I'm not, indeed, insane, and you just like changing history to make everyone else look loony.
I still might be insane, too, though.

Quoted for truth. That seems really, really early. I mean, wasn't Kingdoms announced not that long ago? Not more than a few months, certainly.
Even if it's buggy, though, I'm pretty excited--Medieval is currently a tad too much like its predecessors (Rome and MTW); it wasn't as fresh and exciting as, say, Rome, since the changes from Rome weren't as (immediately) visible.

I'm going to stick to my guns after the M2TW debacle. I'm not going to touch a new TW game again until it's in the bargain bin. By that time, the bugs may have been sorted out. And even if they aren't I won't feel as robbed as I did with M2TW because I won't have paid full price.
Shame on you CA/Sega, for the fist time I am not chomping at the bit for a new TW episode. :shame: And for the first time, you are not getting your maximum profit from me.

I think it was announced around patch 1.2... So march or so?

Lets not forget that just because a game was announced in march it doesn't mean thats when production had started.
I have already pre-ordered it from Play.com for 15 quid, a reasonable price for an expansion pack imo. I am also a little more willing to wait until I have played it before I start complaining about Kingdoms, as EVERYONE should be.
God the Total War community is about as fickle as a Newcastle fan!

Hmm., fickle? I think the fact that every TW title that comes out is less complete than the last title when it was released is a bad thing. Half of the game improvements are going to cause more bugs than they solve.
If I said these things bothered me and still bought the game for the new eye candy, I'd be fickle. The fact that I will not buy the new title surely means I am not fickle.
And if you want to talk about fickle, look at Man Utd fans and Ronaldo. Hated him when he was cheating against England but love him when he cheats against every other team in the Premier League.
I'm betting it'll be as buggy as M2TW was when it comes out. Hopefully I'm wrong but past history doesnt give much hope. Its sad that they been getting buggier with each new release. :2cents:

Hmm. Then I guess that's a team of people NOT working on shoring up M2TW...
I'm still a little torn on buying it; on the one hand, I'd rather wait and see what's reported. On the other hand, if that's the version that's gonna be getting the patches from now on... The campaigns sound awesome, but there's the eternal (recently so) "but". Hard to say, really. I suspect I'll end up getting it, but it's really going to be the breaking point for me: if I get it and I wind up being as disappointed as I was shortly after installing M2TW, then I'm really not touching the next instalment until it's been put through the wringer.
Curse these games, they're too addictive by half. :smash:
