romani intro question

how many people are ok with, instead of voice narration, we (Name & I) did text narration? im in support of this, because this way, the listener can put the accent of the person to his own imagination, thus ceasing all issues with the voice. so, what do you think?

PLEASE NOTE: i made this poll public so we can see what kind of people are saying yes and no. it makes all the difference if someone who has played EB for a long time says no or if someone who just got it yesterday says no.

I'm quite baffled as to why the majority at the moment are against text narration, with five for and seven against. Most mods have intro's with text narration without voices, which is a no-brainer because not many mods have access to quality voice actors. Plus, with EB going the way it does, all the intro speeches would have to be translated into the faction's native language, or the only English you'd hear in the game is in intros. The text narration also allows the backround music to be more than elevator music, and doesn't require other voices to be muted. Just check out the RTR intro.

Very nice intro movie, didn't know RTR also uses voicemods :shame:

Anyway I voted for text narration only, it seems the best option to me :smash:

That Voicemod is the same as EB´s Latin Voicemod. In fact, the Latin Voicemod has been released as a separate pack, for all to enjoy and use if people think they need it.

well, as of now (august 19-also the date of Augustus death in AD 14), the majority of people want text narration. now, i dont know how much Name would like this (having to remove the voice acting and putting in text) , but we could try, i guess. so i personally request that this thread be closed. hopefully, sooner or later, we will have our final version of the romani intro, with text narration. if no one likes that either, maybe will will try an EB teaser..... :Zzzz:
