Ok so im playing as casse, ive conquer'd all of britannia and im building it up. Im still a protectorate( under averni and aedui). ok so i am at 220 b.c when the reforms should occur , but they dont , ive built all the neccery MICS in my capital. Why are the reforms not appearing not appearing?.
I've had the same problem, that's why I quit playing them.

Have you activated the script when you first started the campaign and every time you loaded a save game?
You don't get a warning when the reforms occurs. The only thing that happens is that a reform marker building (Time of Bondsmen/Time of Soldiers) is placed in all your towns, and that you can upgrade your MIC. Only then will you get access to new troops.

Perhaps he meant ally? You start of as ally of the factions in Gaul as the Casse.
Hrm, In my current casse save. Its the year 140 bc. I've conquered everything too scythia and everything on the coast of the baltic. Im fighting the Iberians. The script never activated. every town says time of freemen. Coming to think about it, Ive bever experciend reforms. The saka's dont work either.

The script doesn't activate itself, you have to activate it.

I ment only in Custom battles
Ok i just looked at the reqirements Holy *Hit..the first 220BC and the second 120BCis going to become dynamic triggers , too. Whats the point in makeing those units the best units int he game same for rome if your only gonna get to use them agenst rebels..If by that time you havent gotten almost all the map conqurted you suck and shouldnet be playing this game..by the time you get the best units in the game your fighting rebels and the game is just about over with no turns left its pointless..lol rebels on the stepps lol ffs
Is there a way to change the script to get the nicer units earlyer, Do the romans ever get reforms? I mean do the Ai ever tec up?

When playing EB (or any RTW game with a script), whenever you start a new campaign or load a saved game, the first thing you must do is click on a city you own. The advisor will pop up. Click on him. He will tell you to click on the "Show me how" button. Click on the "Show me how" button. The script is now activated.
This will enable 4 turns per year, reforms, special missions, placement of AI governments (without this, the AI won't be able to recruit proper troops), AI monitary assistance (without this 18 factions will go broke and stagnate), AI population replenishment (without this the AI will have 400 people in every settlement), some traits (such a seasons and supply lines), and various other little things.
If you haven't done this for your campaign, it is essentially 'broken' and it would be advisable to start over. If you miss the script for a turn or two, there shouldn't be a big problem.

In v0.74, the Romans got their reforms at 210, 107, and 40, so they had it even worse than the celts. The Roman reforms were made dynamic for v0.80, but the celtic dynamic reforms have taken a while longer. I believe they are in for the next release.
The Roman AI gets their reforms based on the same criteria that the human AI would have to get. So basically, they have to wait for 220 or whatever since they never take Sicilia. However, the AI will put money into military before buildings, so it will take a long time before they make the upgrades to their MICs.
If you want to change the time, it is quite easy. Change the turn number requirement for the reforms in the EBBS. I think they are right at the top of the file.
On second thought..Id Like the nasty dirty helots below me to die and stagnate:laugh4: Will make them easyer to control, This is totaly new to me Ive never ever seen a post in this forum that talks about activateing a script untill just now on other mods yes..i always thought it happend when u started a campaian so i've been playing old school i supose:laugh4:
This is gonna be cool i have Eb, and ill have to learn how to play more then one mod on the same install of RTW..so i can play the new italian mod and the H city states...theres anouther mod that is joined with the extended greek mod not sure what the name of it is...the units look ok i just wish eb would have went with the correct helments for cathage at this time:book:  I may add a new skin from there game or two to eb..
Will the ptolemaics get any new units..legenarys? ive found a post on totol war center with some that look sorta like them..well i know how eb gets upset at the idea or the mear thought of imatian legearys lol even tho sarcasem..there where, numida etc..there are two types..ones who on there own leaned to fight like the romans with out seeing them in battle and those who did and copyed every single detail armor etc..the egyptians had units like this so did pontos and a few other small city states..I think you said there would be someting like them added..tho due to lack of space lol i can do with out a few units hellenstic spearmen lol totaly useless ugly lol where thy not gone in a past versian of this game then back again this time?

How can you manage to ignore the advisor popping up every time you click a settlement? He explains that you need to start the script.
Well, after a while, activating the script is quite intuitive...
I've got the Celtic reforms in 220 as I should, and I'm wondering, what requirements will the player have to meet to make the reforms happen with the dynamic triggers?

Easy..I always figured i had failed at the start of the campian to shut off the Advise level..and i just figured thats all it was and id click the X and make it go away..i never used it back when the game first came out so i never payed attetnian now..
Ok and as for units..What units are in the first reform? The heavey mailed spearmen or those nakied guys i already have:laugh4: talk about how people are unprepard to face them in the game..well rest asured the Ai knows what to do..RUN!! i've had a few battles where the Ai just routs lol i've only seen that in the old MTW lol..thy hardly make contact and run and run hahaha:laugh4: I use to train half stack armys to take free state settlements now i only train 4 units of them and maybe two slingers and thy hack appart the whole crew, Who needs armor when you got hairy ass ron jeramys running around with swords thats enough to make me wanna run to, Just the thought shivers:laugh4:

The first Celtic reforms give a few new units. IIRC, they get archers, some new cavalry, the majority of Belgae units are now recruitable, and I think they get a new medium infantry or two. The later celtic reforms provide heavy mailed professional soldiers that can go two to two with Marian Romans. As some point you lose Gesatatae.
