Is it true that in a battlefield you can put to his/her side 10000 farmers?

they are called peasants in the game, but yeah. Really, its like fighting with 10000 ashis but hey, its fun

Peasants are basically fodder for any unit even remotely trained in the art of combat, theyre unlikely to be of any use unless used in enormous numbers....

Or unless your opponents are also using a peasant army :P

well they can be used to attack frontally and hold the enemy off for a while as other units flank, other than that, arrow fodder

Peasants sometimes can't even keep proffesional soldiery busy. They even route when in hand to hand combat with archers!

I expect peasants to provide cheap garrisons away from the front.

The Peasants are restless, and we demand our rights! Down with the aristocracy! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

? Can you command 10000 in a campaign? Is it? That gives more than 20000 in the battlefield?(sorry my inglish)

The poor cannon fodder peasants are produced with 200 men in each unit.
The player can control a max of 16 units on the battlefield
Thus: 16x20=3200

if you count all the armies you control during the campaign(the strategy part) you can however have far more units

Indeed so peasants are in effect a good unit in which to lure the enemy army towards u to walk into your ambush.

They can help to reinforce battles by adding weight of numbers coming in from the sides.

But I would not advise using them in h2h combat with other units (not even other peasants) straight on.

Against other peasants only if fighting down a slope and attacking at a greater speed would it be a good idea.

So yes they are used to man garrisons inside your kingdom not on the borders.

but bad thing is....if the enemy breaks through ur front line...he can easily eat your empire up from the inside with all the weak peasents you have in the middle.

Hard on the outside, kind of soft in the middle. I just love M&M kingdoms.

So sieging castles must be like getting a bit stuck in your teeth?

Lay your sleeping head, my love,
Human on my faithless arm;
Time and fevers burn away
Individual beauty from
Thoughtful children, and the grave
Proves the child ephemeral:
But in my arms till break of day
Let the living creature lie,
Mortal, guilty, but to me
The entirely beautiful.
