So, finally downloaded EB to the correct folder.

I try to play by clicking on its icon with the RTW disc in, it did load to the menu screens, there was no Provincial Campaign, only Main Campaign so I elect for that. I pick Romani and click start and thn it CTD'd

I was advised by Tellos Athenaios to check what RTW Vanilla was doing ie if that had any problems. IT does not.

Before I checked RTW Vanilla I tried EB again to see if it had fixed itself, now it does not even load, not even to the menu screen, just ctd's.

I have deleted Map.rwn from the base folder. :dizzy2:

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but:

To me this does not seem right for EB's descr_strat. There is only one Roman faction, there is 3 on this, Macedon is Makedon etc. I may be barking up the wrong tree with the descr_strat.

Anyway, I gave you a couple of suggestions in the other thread. Did you try that? What happened? I think we'll need Filemon output to find anything more.

OMG I've tried everything!

I have put it down to a fault with my RTW 1.5 so I am installing it again and such, this EB is more trouble than its worth. Thanks for your help guys I probably went tits up somewhere, maybe my RTW was not perfectly clean.

Always check your RTW 1.5 installation before installing EB.

It sounds like you either installed over the wrong version of RTW (not 1.5/1.6) or you have a faulty download/install of EB.

Sorry about the delay, Ive given up infact Vanilla is good enough for me.

Even if you have a hard time getting EB to work, there are other mods which you should try and may enjoy, such as Rome Total Realism, Arthurian TW and Fourth Age TW. I've enjoyed them all, and they beat vanilla easily.
