In my venice campaign the crusade that is supposed to be called (around 1099 if im not mistaken) was not called. there may be a few things that caused that but im not sure... in my other campaign it was authomatically called.

1. im playing LTC 3.2
2. I modded the turns to be 0.5 years.
3. I asked the pope to call a crusade on Jeruzalem around 1090

I think 3 is the cause that it didnt happen, did anyone else had sumting like it?
When i called a crusade a few years later on paris it was called... but the pope died so it stopped...

I noticed that in my Venice campaign, vanilla with Patch 1.2

In my other campaign as Scotland, the Crusade was called. But with Venice no crusade was called until I built up favour with the Pope and called it myself. Possible bug?

It's rare , but it happens .
Playing once as Egypt and not even bothering to play nice with Catholics nor bribe the Pope and I didn't have a crusade aim anywhere near the Middle East for over 75 turns and that went to Constantinople {which I then Jihaded}

. It was over 110 turns before one aimed for the "holy" lands , which every man and his dog joined . By that time I had everything from Cyrencia to Constantiople , more mony than I knew what to do with , the landbridges blocked by ships and the Mamluk horse armies to destroy them at lesiure {let them in one or two at a time} .

Be patient and they'll show up .
