View Full Version : Satanic Insurance?

Okay, so being a young driver who recently got his license my family's car insurance just went up something like a bazillion dollars. Not a big deal, as we can take the financial hit and I'm chipping in some (although I can't do much, not at $6.00/hr part-time).

But today, my dad gets this offer from a different insurance company saying we only have to pay $xxxx per year instead of $yyyy. Alternatively, we could drop "collision" from our current plan instead and pay something close to $xxxx.

No big deal, right? Well, here's the thing: The difference between xxxx and yyyy is a grand total of $666. Exactly.

So I'm thinking this is the sign from a God who's in a particular mood, almost daring us to save the money. Ordinarily I'd say "go for Plan $xxxx" but because of this interesting difference in amounts (and don't tell me the real number's 616) I'm wondering what to do.

Of course taking "collision" out of our current plan could come back to bite me too.

So what's your opinion on this Luciferian savings plan, fellow Orgahs? Remember, if you urge me to go for Plan xxxx and the car gets hit with one or more of the Ten Plagues when I'm driving, it's all your fault.

If a god or demi-god makes you an offer, don't refuse it. Think boils and plagues of frogs. Don't look to your patron deity for aid either, in my experience they're all big on the pain and punishment and light on the protection. :inquisitive:

Best to keep your head down and hope you slip through the cracks; the tallest nail always gets the hammer. :smash:

Have you even heard of the company? Are they rather popular with good ratings and reviews? Have you researched them? Talk to others about them to see if it's some cheap skate thing since you just got your license I wouldn't be surprised if it's all humbug just trying to leech off of you and then all of a sudden go bankrupt and disappear with your money. Check 'em out.

I agree with Decker.

I'd definitely do as Decker said and check them out first. If they don't seem to be trying to leech and run take the deal. At the very least you can always say you made a deal with the devil.

They seem to be legit. We used to have them before but then switched because they were getting too expensive.

At the very least you can always say you made a deal with the devil.

:laugh4: Thanks, that puts things in perspective.

You could always get a motorcycle; here in Washington you don't need to insure them.

Or you could cut the deal with Satan's Insurance Co. Just make sure they have good customer service.

I'd say go for it, no reason why God or Satan would care if you got insurance... I mean, really.

Of course, there could be a triggered car collision in hand here...

I'd say go for the money and hope it's just coincidence, and like Uesugi Kenshin said, At least you can say you made a deal with the devil. You could scare lots of people with that little tid-bit.

Okay, good news. We wrangled another discount out of xxxx, so now we're saving more than $666. All is well.
