"E: TW will be the most accessible Total War game in the series"

seems promising ~;)

What does that mean, really? That most computers will be able to run it? Or that gameplay will be more intuitive? Since they're touting the improved graphics, I suspect the latter, although I hope (no doubt in vain) for the former. Stunning graphics don't mean much to begin with, but they mean less when I can't even play the game on the "least stunning" setting. :furious3:

Or that gameplay will be more intuitive?

or more simplified.

It means they'll have to dumb it down enough so that they can fit all of the controls on an xbox360 gamepad.

Jjust kidding (i hope).

Well, if that's true, I for one won't bother.

Ah yes! An 18th century wargame, about time! :2thumbsup:

I hope they put the Jacobites in, it would make a good front for the French to press the British. When Britian and France are at war the French can send money and supplies to raise the clans?

All the best CA!

Rome was the first that captured my attention. Im going to keep a close eye on this. I feel that the melee was the main attraction, but this could turn out brilliant.

Can someone expound to me on the topic of how exactly CA intends to make fighting a group of cannon-armed sailing ships intuitive and accessible? 'Cause IIRC the French navy never really mastered it even when their lives were on the line. Even if the humans can figure out how to do it, I'll not hold my breath waiting for the AI to pull it off. Remember the heavy infantry that charged like they were cavalry? I rally hope they get the autocalc right, 'cause I've a feeling that's going to be the way most naval battles get played.

It seems it will go past a "battle" or a "siege" type match.

Perhaps a take and hold scenario?

I imagine a ranking system kind of wins give you points, win/loss ratio etc.

Leagues as now, just endorsed.
